“The JOY of the Lord is our strength” Nehemiah 8:10
Joy is undoubtedly a feeling. Its a great feeling that allows us to rest in hope knowing that God perfects all things concerning us. Jesus and joy go hand in hand, as he understands that joy comes from obedience and faithfulness to God’s call. He had to have maintained his JOY while answering the call of his father knowing that he faced death. He could have made the choice to teach the message to his followers in harshness and with a horrible attitude, but he did it with GENTLENESS, compassion and full of LOVE. When we think of all he faced, surely we can have JOY.
Joy gives fuel to our faith and it allows us to fuel the faith of others. It lights up a room with its genuine gladness and delights to hear another’s heart. Joy is the peace that you have when you trust in Christ. JOY is the smile and confidence we wear when we suffer persecution. JOY is what kills the agenda through kindness, LOVE and compassion of those the devil sent to distract us from Gods assignment.
~JOY IS WHAT WE WILL NEVER LET ANYONE STEAL FROM US~
A few years ago I had to learn the importance of living beyond my feelings. Living beyond guilt, hurt and pain, and pressing forward in JOY as a move of FAITH that God will take the feelings we carry and do something better. Living beyond our feelings and maintaining JOY through HOPE in Christ is definitely a move of Faith, and God can work with that. Because our God, the one we serve is higher than the mountains that we face, and always constant through the trials and the shame that we carry around. We have to choose JOY. When the doctor gives a bad report, we have to choose JOY over fear. When we feel disrespected and unloved, we have to choose JOY. Its the only way we experience victory and conquer hell.
Joyfulness is found in His hopefulness. Do not allow people to rob you of hope and peace. A naysayer will always be around to remind you of what their reality is. But we are saved and we shall walk by FAITH and not by sight.
Choosing JOY is a choice. Its a choice that we make that reflects that no matter what happens, we won’t let anyone steal what God has purposed for us to have.
